Renovators and Home Owners – BEWARE!
This month’s topic is super important for every home owner and property investor in the renovator space to understand very very well.
This meeting is also available live on ZOOM (see below).
Lawyers acting for your purchaser are now using the internet to look at “before-and-after” photos of your property, to assess the level of renovation work done… and then asking for evidence of permits and insurances.
This is catching out many renovators, who often don’t understand when a formal Domestic Building Contract, Building Permit, Owner-Builder Certificate, and/or Builders Warranty Insurance will be required.
Getting it wrong can give your purchaser grounds to terminate their purchase contract with you – or even put you at risk of being fined for breaching the law!
One of Australia’s foremost property law experts – Lewis O’Brien – explains the requirements, and how you can proactively avoid creating problems on your next reno deal or when renovating your own home!
