‘Incredible Red Hill South home hits the market with eight-figure price tag (OCTOBER 27, 2018)

A JAW-DROPPING Mornington Peninsula property has hit the market with price hopes more than double the record for its suburb. Is the best property on the peninsula outside Portsea?

IMMENSE views across the bay and a finely-crafted residence to match.
That combination makes 29 Callanans Rd, Red Hill South the “best property on the Mornington Peninsula”, according to Peninsula Sotheby’s managing director Rob Curtain.
    “It’s faultless,” he said.
“The attention to detail, the quality — the stonemason was there for over a year.”
It’s on the market with a $15-$16.5 million price guide.

With a sale in this price range, the property would more than double Red Hill South’s biggest ever sale of $6 million, achieved in 2016, according to CoreLogic.

The 6.47ha property has glorious gardens, with a horizon pool and spa that captures the view across Point Leo to Phillip Island.
The meticulously made Hamptons-style house also frames the bay outlook.
At its heart is a gourmet kitchen with scullery, joined by lounge and dining zones leading out to an entertainment space and poolside terrace.
The home’s extensive accommodation includes a self-contained loft apartment.

Horses are spoiled, too — the impressive equestrian facilities include top-notch stables, a full-sized arena, float storage, a wash bay, tack room, plus post and rail paddocks and spring-fed dams. Six-car garaging is also included.
The property is being offered via private sale.

Red Hill recently took the title of being Victoria’s most-searched suburb on realestate.com.au.
Mr Curtain said the suburb and those around it had seen a surge in buyer interest in the past year, with many seeing the bonus in the shorter drive from Melbourne than popular Flinders. “And it’s tightly held,” he added.
He said clifftop acreages with views of Westernport Bay were especially sought after.’
