Anyone got a good solution in a Kitchen for where an old wood fire oven goes? I am trying to replace the kitchen, but not sure who I should fill in where the old oven once went. The current hole is about 1.6m high, not high enough for a fridge.

In my experience, these alcoves are often lined with asbestos containing material – externally as well as internally. B Class & only of concern if the sheeting is damaged or could be, by your modifications. As Jaxon has given you a number of ideas, I’d only add ‘do not do anything that involves a benchtop’ as the headroom above is insufficient for any practical use & imho just looks inadequate.
