    Hi,

Our neighbour has extended her garage, the closest point of her garage to our property is approx 50cm from our boundary. I’m not sure how long ago she extended it.
I would just like to know if that distance to our boundary is legal.
    We are in Queensland.

    Thanks

completely depends on the on your local council regulations at the time of construction, and/or any permissions that neighbour had from the previous owners of your property.
Only a ‘full site survey’ can determine how close that garage is to boundary, cause your fence could be out !

Ive built on the boundary line in NSW (sydney suburb) twice, just a few more ‘boxes to tick’ in the process.

if there are no windows, often these buildings are ‘zero lot lined’ ie built up to the boundary.
