I have seven investment properties in QLD and I want to start using a specialist property accountant. Someone I can build a long term relationship with.
I have recently had a very bad experience with Chan and Naylor who set up a $5,000 trust structure for me. It turned out that the banks didn’t like the structure and wouldn’t lend to it unless I had a 40-50% deposit.
To avoid making the same mistake, can you please recommend a specialist property accountant based in QLD.

I have a few more than 7 properties and have used the same Accountancy firm for last 20 years.
Try Steve Hodgkinson at Gold Business Group in Southport.
They are specialists in property investment and Steve is a great bloke to boot.
Long standing forum member but doesn’t get much chance to post these days.
Tell him I referred you as otherwise you might not get past the receptionist.
Most decent mid size Accounting firms are not taking on new clients but he will always do so if the referral has come from us.
