    Hi All,
I am a novice investor as my name suggests.
I seek help and advise from you all,
I am buying an investment property with a council approved granny flat.
I was wondering how does that work out in terms having 2 separate postal address for the property and also for the purpose of separating the utilities like water , electricity, telephone etch. and are there any pertinent laws to tenancy in granny flat which are different from the norm.

    Please help.

    Thanks

    kind regards

    NI

    Hi Novice,
Welcome aboard !! It is good to see you getting in and posting – that is what a forum is best for (sharing ideas and information). I hope our members are able to help you out.

But first, please provide us with the Council involved – different laws and by-laws apply depending on which State and/or Council is involved. Without that, any answer can only be generic at best, and plain mis-leading at worst!!

    Benny
