Just doing a quick check around on current rental asks in areas where we have investment properties and noticing that Sydney rental prices really haven’t moved at all in the last year if anything possibly falling (I know the stats say otherwise eg 3% rise over the last 12 months)

Any thoughts on why these rents haven’t gone up?

Is it just that the ability to borrow is so cheap this year (even though a mortgage is 25 years and not the next 12-18 months…)
    Or is it something else
Eg that the people who rent socio economically cant afford to pay anymore than they are.

And those pretty ordinary $3m+ home prices racing away is a sign the aust society is being torn apart and the haves and have nots is a sign of bigger issues?
