I’m a lawyer specialising in residential property and tax in Melbourne. I’m looking to get into the market with an investment property first, like many of my peers. I’m wondering if there’s anyone in Melbourne who is able to take me under their wing and show me some tips and tricks for finding the right deal. In exchange I can offer mates rates for property law related matters/conveyances, tax questions and general matters. I’ve read a lot over the last few years on the property investment area generally but getting practical experience will certainly trump that. Thanks for your concern Jacqui, although I think it’s fairly short-sighted. I’ve seen plenty of people get burned on incorrect legal and financial advice in my line of work. Knowing the law in this area back to front might appeal to someone out there who finds all the legal and duties issues daunting. I’m obviously willing to negotiate with the right person on the exchange of a pound of flesh. I’m sure someone out there may find some value in what I have to offer so if that person does exist, feel free to PM me and we can work out a deal.
