All Topics / Heads Up! / Question about Books or information on how to research the suburbs to buy
Hi all!
I was wondering if anyone can recommend me a good book about researching the market?
I have a few investment properties and I bought them all them in the west of Sydney and through a buyer agent long time ago, they all performed very well but now I want to go back and buy more properties.
I’ve been away from the market so I have to catch up again. The thing is I’d like to do a proper research before accepting a buyer agent suggestion or buying the house in a suburb I just “like”.
At this stage I can see the houses are selling very quickly in Sydney so I’m not quite sure if buying in Sydney is the best option for me now since it might be very interesting deals even in other states.
That is why I’d very welcome if anyone can recommend a good book about researching the market to pick a suburb that is not performing that well now but it will in the future.
I’ve read many of the mandatory books already, so I’m more into something that analyses the market, demographics, cycles and something like that. Something that help me to narrow down my research to just a few suburbs to buy my next property.
I saw a few recommended in the book list topic but before buying anything I wanted to look for more insights about this particular request or if anyone have more comments about those books that might help in what I’m looking for.
The books I found were:
“How to Research and Purchase Investment Properties” – By Debra Lohrere.
The Big Shift (2nd Edition) – Welcome to the Third Australia Culture – (The Bernard Salt Report)- Bernard Salt
“Grow Rich with the Property Cycle“
More wealth from residential property – Somers Jan
Real Estate Market Analysis: Methods and Case Studies, Second EditionAny recommendation about a new book, website, or tools that help me to improve my research will be more than welcome.
Thanks in advance!
