How much to insure for?

Hi all,

I’ve been thinking generally about property under a body corporate management. I realise that you don’t need building insurance, but Landlord insurance is still important for absconding tenants or internal damage to contents.

With that in mind I’d like to ask a quick poll of how much do you insure for

contents

in flats/units/townhouses/villas for a body corporate property (2-3 beds)? Is $15000 a good guess?

And in an unfurnished property what is generally included in the contents anyway? the walls? kitchen? carpet?
