Hey everyone I have just bought a house in Gorokan on the Central Coast to live in and settlement is next month so moving up from Wagga. I already have one IP in Wagga with great growth and rent return and want to continue my investing on the coast. I'm just asking for some suburbs to keep my eye on in either the Central Coast area or Newcastle.

    Cheers

    Hi Bennyhub.

Where's the Wagga one, house or unit ?

I have a family contact in RE in Newcastle if you want it, PM me.

My motel in Wagga is going great.

    Cheers

I was currently looking at properties around the Central Coast as well, initially was looking or a place in Sydney, but was just too expensive. I do not want to be under a burden of a mortgage for the rest of my life. Plus I really have no reason to be around Sydney, would much prefer be in a nicer, bigger place on Central Coast, just a short stroll from the water for a fraction of the price.

I reckon there's some good opportunities in south coast NSW at the moment. There's an abundant of stock and new releases – so quite a few properties up for sale for lengthy periods which usually leads to decent discounting.

The weather wouldn't be as nice as the central coast though – a bit chilly in winter.

    Cheers

Personally i like Belmont, New Lambton or Newcastle City itself.

Just sold a development site in Merewether which i just didn't have time to develop but that is another great suburb.

    Cheers
