Hi, first post on here. We’ve got a few investment units around Adelaide and looking at number 4. I'm looking at the Kilburn area for a number of reasons. Firstly, it's close to the CBD. Secondly it's cheap. There's also the new development coming in the next year or so, they've started construction.
We're aware of the demographics of the area, especially Kilburn North, but Kilburn itself seems to be ok. Not many obvious housing trust places left from what we can see. House prices have dropped in the last couple of years, one website said 17% down over the last 24 months.
Everything seems to be pointing to increasing gentrification in the area as far as we can tell and as prices have dropped, they're not likely to drop much further (hopefully).
So, can anyone offer any advice on this suburb please.
