    Hi everyone!

thanks for the ongoing discussions, and topics. Really love reading them all. I have a question about offset accounts :

Can you attach an offset account to a mortgage that is not yours ?? or do they both have to be in the same name ??

    thanks

I've never tried but would assume they'd have to be in the mortgage holders name.

    Cheers

    Jamie

Have to be in the same names, but some lenders used to offer accounts in another name, such as a related company. Can't think of any that do now.

Yep I know my bank use to offer family offset accounts many years ago. Don't know of any that do it now.
