I had meeting recently with this company and they tried to get me to buy IP in QLD. Owner was really arrogant and not a good listener so don't think we will go ahead. Seemed like a real estate salesman to me. Anyone had any experience with them? They cold called me.
Smarty never heard of them but they sound like a property marketing company to me.
I am based in Brisbane so if you want to post where they were recommending i can give you my 5 cents as to whether i would personally invest in such an area.
Cheers
Yours in Finance

FYI Asset Partner approach is pretty simple…
1. Establish how much equity you have via a “qualification process”
2. (Provided you “qualify for the government entitlements” they “work with” that “allow you to put your tax dollars back into your mortgage”) book you in for a “presentation” in your house where they talk to you about your financial future and hopes and dreams… Basically they “re qualify” your financial standing i.e. How much equity you have available to lend against…
3. Get you in to see “the closer” I.e. kiwi in a pinstripe suit that will convince you the best way to prepare for retirement is to remortgage, take on a massive amount of debt and invest in their properties in QLD
4. The admin handball to the finance lady (picture the least personable finance person you’ve ever met and then make her less personable)
5. Their “expert/most senior accountant in the galaxy” then helps you to decrease your tax…they will say that some clients aren’t paying any tax…but highly likely those clients weren’t paying much tax in the first place…
As has been stated there are investment properties that are a little closer to home that can offer a return.
Only see them if you’re very comfortable with taking on a massive amount of debt because “the closer” will make it sound like a brilliant idea but make no mistake all you are to those people is a commission cheque.
I went for an interview with Asset Partners in Perth and found the owner to be quite arrogant. He asked be multiple personal questions in terms of how many investments properties I had and how I bought them! I was stunned that he would ask that. He also said that they help their clients to pay off their mortgage in 3 years.
ASSET PARTNER!!!! Perth …Neville is his name. The owner. The man is truly an arrogant idiot to say the least. He is greedy and rude. He does not have any people skills. His best skill is manipulation to those who are not so ‘educated’ in the property investment market. He can barely smile and in the interview with my partner and I, we left with such disgust and did not feel respected in the process. When he realizes he will not get anything much out of the deal, he treated us as if we were beneath him. We walked away very proud that we did not do business with him. We are safer in our own hands. PLEASE everyone. Dont trust this company. They have neither been operating for too long and the owner claims to have 27 something years of experience. What a load of hogwash. He certainly should start with his people skills and lack of integrity. It is frightening. Watch this space. They will not last….
I was really surprised to read the couple of negative reviews above about Assetpartner and then realised that they are from a couple of people who are probably not even clients of Assetpartner, so how could they know, so I am writing this review as a long term client, (since early 2013) to give some feedback on what my experiences have been and what a new Client should expect.
I met Assetpartner via their Telemarketing and was a little sceptical until the Inhome Consultant met with my wife and I and gave us some more information about what they could do for us. It all sounded too good to be true however we are glad that we met with the owner of the business and spent the day listening and understanding our options and have since become Clients of Assetpartner (and introduced quite a few friends and colleagues who have had similar results to ours).
We have basically paid off our home loan in the last 4 years and enjoyed a significant reduction in tax as well and are well on our way to a well funded retirement Home Loan free. We learned that everyone’s circumstances are different and that not everyone can Qualify to be a Client of Assetpartner, but if you Qualify, my wife and I can only recommend the Company based on our successful results with them. If you are interested, you should meet with them and see if they can help you (like they helped us).
My wife and i are clients and we have the complete opposite view to Cosi we would not reccommed Asset Partners. We have been with Asset partners since 2012 our morgage is no way near paid off and the property as well as the rent in Brisbane has not gone up in value in 5 years. We have had another meeting which we initiated approx 1.5 years ago voicing our concerns, to where they revisited the stratagy and decided it would be changed at their cost.A month went by with no word tried to contact with no luck, left messages no response, to this date we have had no corrospondance or calls from Neville or Asset Partners except tellemarketers trying to sign us up.
We have recently refinanced as the morgage brokers they used had high intrest rates, lost $2000 in exit fee’s and changed accountants from Asset Parteners and found they were not claiming what we were entitled to. Needless to say it has left a real bitter taste in our mouth.
I have been a client of Asset Partner since 2014 and have been very satisfied with the product, the service and, most importantly the results. I am conservative by nature, and was initially cautious of the investment program; however, we have worked with Asset Partners, stuck to the guidelines and can attest that the program has delivered well beyond my expectations. I now have multiple investments through Asset Partner. Over the three-year period, Neville and his team have been friendly and approachable, knowledgeable and responsive, and provided clear guidance and advice. Most importantly, they have been honest, straight shooters who have turned my caution into trust. I have recommended their services to a number of family members and friends.
Agree with Steve. Had very similar experience. My wife and I have not seen our mortgage go down at all and stuck paying way more interest than other banks. Neville is arrogant and disinterested once he has your $$$$. It’s the worst decision we ever made BEWARE.
We are Clients of Assetpartner and are very surprised to read the reviews that are negative…. As we are having an extremely good result! Like some of the other people on this site.
We don’t want to disclose too much about our personal circumstances online, we have been clients of Assetpartner for over 4 years……but we can say that our home loan has gone down significantly which means our repayments are a lot less and our Tax has reduced by a large amount, which are all the things our Strategy was supposed to do. We look like having our Home Loan paid off in the next couple of years and had no idea how to do it until Assetpartner made us do it. We know it wouldn’t have worked if we didn’t stick to the plan!
We have regular contact with the Team at Assetpartner. They are approachable, helpful and knowledgeable.
I know that the Owner Neville has very strong views on these subjects… all we can say is that in our situation we are a lot better off Financially as Clients of Assetpartner, so we WOULD RECOMMEND you find out if they can help you and we have recommended friends who are also now happy Clients like us.
What are you suggesting Richard? Please feel free to contact me if you need further clarification.
I too registered here after going through my own due diligence (google helped me find this site) and proceeded with AssetPartner.
Richard believe me you are spot on with your thoughts. Five years ago I had a meeting with them as I had been cold called and Neville the owner was s rude and arrogant. I then had a relative who went on to work for them before we persuaded him to leave. They were abusive bullies who treated him like dirt and behind Neville’s persona which he bearly manages to hold together for clients, he is just a narcissistic liar. Maybe there are a handful of clients who have been lucky but the majority aren’t so fortunate. The way they speak about clients behind their back is horrific.
But mainly, what are your goals, Hem? Are you a Growth Investor, or an Income Investor? Will you buy and flip? Or Buy, renovate and Hold, or Buy split and develop the block of land, etc. Or do you want to do business with someone who wants to sell you a new house? i.e. You want it ready-made with nothing to do except to bring in rent. That is valid too – but there are some things you need to be aware of, BEFORE going down that path – try this topic:- https://www.propertyinvesting.com/buying-investment-property-off-plan-dumb/
I hope those links have some thoughts for you that help you to make up your mind. Feel free to come back with more questions (perhaps in a new topic, so this one can remain about “Asset Partners”).
