All Topics / Help Needed! / Apartment next to carpark entrance
Hi guys
I'm looking to buy an off the plan unit that I quite like (well planned, good location etc) which is due for completion in a few months (construction started a while back). However, the unit is right next to the carpark entrance for the entire development. Just wanted to get views on whether people thought this would impact future value, deter potential tenants etc? In addition to your views on this, would appreciate if you would list whether you personally would rent / buy such a place?
Also, would the noise etc. warrant some ground for negotiation?
Cheers
Personally, I wouldn't be too keen on it.
What sort of windows does it have?
How big a development is it?
The noise/lights from cars coming/going would deter me from buying/living in it.
No harm in using it as a point of negotiating.
Cheers
Jamie

How big is the development and are we talking ground floor or 1st floor?

Thanks for the reply.
Development is roughly 195 units/terraces.
In terms of windows, there are two courtyards at either end of the apartment. The smaller courtyard is the one facing the "front" where the carpark entrance is.Upstairs the second bedroom also has windows facing the "front"
The main bedroom window and lounge which opens into the main courtyard area are at the back (away from the entrance)
Cheers
It is a split level apartment on the ground and first floors.
Forget it – that would be a dead set nightmare and incredibly hard to resell.
