All Topics / Value Adding / NSW granny flat incentives?
Hey gang,
I heard through a grapevine that there is some sort of incentive scheme underway via the
NSW government for building a granny flat onto your property solely for the purpose of renting it out.
Something to do with minimizing high density living in the city regions?
Does anybody have any other information to help clarify this?
This already falls under the Sepp and everyone is doing it so I am surprised if the State government puts out a further incentive.

Shahin

1. The Government incentive is about to stop – around the time of the federal elections.
2. The scheme doesn't cover individual granny flats. Its more for cluster homes and group homes etc.

I'm not sure about any monetary incentive scheme…
I know NSW pushes through approvals in 10 days for Granny flats up to 60m2
