All Topics / Help Needed! / Is Tax Depreciation Schedule necessary?
Hi All,
We are renting out our house which was built in late 1970's.
We purchased it 4 years ago and gave it a full interior renovation.
I was wondering if it's worth getting a Depreciation Schedule done, considering the age of the home?
Thanking you in advance
Boshie
I would say yes! Especially considering the full interior renovation.

Absolutely. You can still get some depreciation on older dwellings – and like Nathan said, you've got relatively new renos to claim on as well.
Cheers

Yes! It's actually quite surprising how many people think that claiming depreciation is only applicable on OTP properties.
