Campbell Newman has pulled through and lifted the ban on mining Uranium in Queensland!

Personally I can only see this as a good thing as it will encourage exploration and possibly new mines which equals more jobs etc.
Anyone feel they will directly benefit from it, or that it will have a negative impact on them or certain things???
It's an interesting development.
Over the last couple of days I'm sure I read in the AFR or The Australian mining for uranium was still a long way off but it may promote exploration…….
I agree. Even though exploration of Uranium was never banned in QLD, only mining, I think this should lure a few more exploration companies out on the hunt, and hopefully discover other metals while they are at it!
I thought that I had heard something was also going to allow exploration for uranium in NSW. At present they can't even look for the stuff.
