Mortgage rates are 3%, all time low. anyone invested in Canada?
Canadians are the single biggest investment group in the US market. What does that tell you?
Is there any decent property going for sale in Whistler BC? One of my contacts bought a skifield property years ago for next to nix and it wasn't distressed at the time.
Spent a month in Canada in June / July and absolutely loved it.
Some lovely properties in Whistler and with Mountain biking as popular in the Summer as skiing is in the Winter you get 365 days of holiday rental.
Fairly difficult to fund Foreign Nationals though.

I honestly never though about Canada, but with such low mortgage rent I have to check it out. I guess area like Vancouver or Quebec would be worth checking out. I will follow this thread, interested as well to hear from people who already incested in the Canadian property.
West coast is where the action will be. Big push to open up the western seaboard with infrastructure to export minerals and energy to China
Vancouver is ranked as the 2nd most expensive city in the wold which tells you something.

Hi Freckle,
Thank you for the advice. I am sure you can make plenty of money with Energy market, but I think I will stick with real estate:-) It is what I like to do:-)
Thanks Qlds007. The price of the unit is not an issue. I just want my investment to be profitable. So if I invest millions of CAD I expect to get the way more cash back!

unfortunately, that's not always the case. Profit and cashflow don't always go hand in hand with asking price…sometimes the more profitable properties aren't the priciest ones, even the opposite.

Thanks for pointing it out Zmagen. It is something I have not thought about since all my the priciest properties always brought the best cash flow to me as well. It is something I will have to reconsider in order to continue being a successful property investor.
Sure you're not mixing "best cashflow" with "biggest amount"? If you're getting 100 on your 1000 investment it doesn't actually beat getting 30 on your 150 investment, etc. just appears that way…
