Hi i am a UK citizen living in Australia, and have some saving plus a property back in the UK. I was looking at getting a buy to let mortgage to invest some of my money back in the London property market?
Does anyone know anything about this field, and what sort of deposit I would have to put down, and any firms that specialise in this field
Best
Hello,
We have a broker who does UK mortgages- you will need a good deposit.

Hi just wanted some advice.
What deposit would i need on a £300,000 mortgage, i think I could rent for around £2,000 per calandar month.
Additional details are my annual income here is around $80,000 Aussie dollars around 50K. I also have a property in London already (my primary residence), which i have a mortgage of 180,000 on and was last is valued at £450,000. I currently rent this property out at around 1600 per month, which easily covers my mortgage.
Also what is the arrangement fees
What is the interest rates
Is it a interest or capital & interest payments
Best,
Owen
Hi Owen
There are only 2 BTL lenders left who will consider non resident loans (Trust me i am in the same boat as you being a UK Passport holder who has lived here in 16 years) and you are looking at 35-40% deposit.
Minimum £100K loan rates not that friendly for the UK circa 4.5% fixed.
Cheers
