I was wondering if anyone would like to share their stories of Builder Stuff ups and horror stories. I have had a few over the years. The one that stands out most for me was while i was building a Dual Occupancy (2 Houses at the same time) the builder got the window styles, driveway colours and carpets mixed up. As I have presold the property I ended up having to compensate my buyers by dropping the price and the builder held me to ransom as he knew I had to settle so he won't come to the party and hand over the keys until he was paid. We ended up splitting the costs but he should have paid the lot as he stuffed up and I saved his backside by negotiating with the buyers not to have the driveway ripped up but to just have it recoloured.
