Creating an Investment Survey

I am looking to create a survey for my data base of investment clients and would like some ideas on questions that would be relevant. I am attempting to find out how people go about researching for their investment properties, how long they take to make a decision on a property and what are the key reasons that they choose the properties that they do. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
