G'day I've got my Cert IV and have no finance experience… is anyone able to advise me where I should start (Mortgage Broking). Should I join an Aggregator? If so which one. Or an Aussie or Mortgage Choice etc? Basically what are my options and maybe what are the pros/cons. Your experienced advice is much appreciated thanks. I'm in Victoria.

    Hi Brokeraus

Think you will struggle to find most Aggregators take you on board as you need a minimum of 2 Years prior experience so you are going to be limited to the likes of Aussie unless you can find a mentor.

Secondly remember you need to have also completed the Diploma in Mortgage Broking by June 30 2012.

Good luck and let us know how you go.

    Cheers

    Hi brokeraus

As Richard mentioned, you’ll prob need to arrange a mentor for the first couple of years.

When deciding behind the franchise or independent paths, consider all options carefully.

There was a good thread on the somersoft forum recently about this exact topic – it’s worth while doing a search for it.

    Cheers

    Jamie
