    Hi all,
We have an unconditional contract on a block of land we signed up to back in Dec 2010 which is yet to be registered, but our financial situation has changed and we need to be released from our contract and have our deposit returned.  I have told our Conveyancers our situation but she has said it is up to the developers to release us, or we have to wait for one year of the contract running out to release us, they are not very helpful. The latest I heard is that the land will be registered around 4-5 weeks time. Is there any way we can be released from the contract?  Legal help?

    Many thanks
    KCM
