    Hi,

We just finished puting together a short cartoon which explains how commercial development finance worlks, using a case study. The numbers mentioned in the cartoon are from a real development project. This has been created for our web site, but i have put it up on youtube and would be very intereted to hear any feedback.

This is the second cartoon video we have created, the first being on cross-collaterisation, which is also on youtube.

What I would really like to know is what people think of this type of format for information dissemination and, if you like the format, what other topics are of interest.

    Regards
    Alistair

Great work Alistair- alwasy good to have a “visual” video.

The only negative is the voice over/talkers are very “flat”…

Thanks Michael, nothing much i can do about the voice overs, they are computer generated. I'm sure they will get better, the actions are pretty funny and it was good fun to make.

    Hi Alistair,
    Informative cartoon.
I agree the voice-over is obviously computer generated but depending on how much time and money you want to spend you could dub over the original audio using real people.
The conversation itself needs a little refining only because the generated voice is "reading" the script exactly as typed and not as fluid as people speak.

Well done though for thinking outside the box.

    Hi Al,

    Great work!!

Maybe a couple of slides visually showing the numbers behind the deal would be my feedback.

    Cheers Maurice

    This is great Alistair,

I agree with the comment that some visual representation of the figures would be helpful.

Look forward to your next cartoon

Thanks for all the feedback guys. The cartoon was created using a site called Extranormal, its pretty good fun to use and i'll be doing a lot more on different topics as soon as I have some time. Anyone keen on these and other info if you "like" the Perry Finance facebook page you will be notified of any new info going up, we also publish articles virtually every day.

    Regards
    Alistair
