When houses could be bought for about 30,000 all day long in 2008. I lived in cape coral and had to move away cause the job o had as a contractor died. There was so many people from north states that had moved to build in theses areas. It is a dead area and i wouldn’t touch it, not when u can purchase from Miami or the surrounding Tampa area. If you wanna buy, go Naples. South of lee county and at the time was the considered the nicer of the real estate.
I’m new to these forums

[email protected]Florida right now is where I am heading in Jan because it is going to be cold here in Charlotte and Atlanta …and the fishing deep sea ,just below Sarasota was awesome.( we went 35 miles of the coast ) Sun , deep sea fishing and the beach. Oh sorry forgot this was a real estate forum….
Cheeves lets get some dates set up we want to come down and check things out( call it a real estate trip with some crown royal in mind). One of our old mortgage guys is in Tampa So we might stop there. as well Beside my oldest brother lives in North Port he is a 14 year vet on the police force in Sarasota..So would like to see him, his wife is an awesome cook.
Guys I am not promoting Florida properties but I am promoting alot of good things to do there. My brother in law and the family are heading to Florida for 10 day trip with Disney land main attraction. My niece 7 and nephew 3 hit me up for a few bucks for the trip..which they are leaving out this morning …
Again sorry forgot about real estate for a minute…LOL

Kyler,
That is a horrible description of how Florida is. Maybe you can call some pharmaceutical companies and ask why they are looking at HQ land in SW Florida. Why? Cheap land, affordable pay wages, and no state taxes. Other than that, I shouldn't dignify it much more. Seasoned investors know why FL is an attractive market.Alex: Just took my 4 year old son fishing along the Sanibel Causeway. Caught some pompanos which are great on the grill, but witnessed a guy fight a 6 foot bull shark for about an hour. I assisted him for 20 minutes. I consider myself fit and I guess pretty strong. That shark kicked my butt. What a sight though. Then I wrestled the shark with my bare hands, put my arm down its mouth and took the hook and bait back….Swung him by the tail and launched him back into the water…Ok, that was a lie, but we did beach the shark! Good times for sure!
January works for me anytime, just give me a block of dates. I've got the Crown ready. Let's rock!

Kyler: Yeah..Sheldon Adelson is a bum. I can't believe he is looking into Fort Myers to build a casino resort. He's just a rookie…He'll learn his lesson. SMH. FYI, he is chairman of Sands.

Email Me | Phone MeI can't see a casino resort really bringing back that area that much. You are from that area and if u have the inside scoop, u can get the the land they will build on. That part of Florida has always been popular with European tourist. Yet i wouldn't invest in cape coral when i could go to Tampa or Miami.
Where do you think Tampa is categorized? SW Florida.. If you are an investor looking to spend $50,000 on something small, good luck in Tampa and Miami. The majority of people on this forum are looking for $100k or less. Find me something in Miami or Tampa outside of warzones that you can buy for under 100k.
Bottom line Kyle, is that this market is good for an entry level investor or someone getting their feet wet in the market without overleveraging themselves. It is a fine market / economy here in Lee County. I agree with you on the draw to Tampa, but not Miami.
