I've pre-purchased my ticket to the conference but still need to organize annual leave, and book for flights and accommodation. Hopefully everything will go according to plan and I should be able to attend this mega event

Hi all
I have booked my flights, got my ticket and just oragnised accommodation. I will be there and can't wait!! It sounds like it will be great. I would like to meet a few people off this forum if at all possible .

I looked for quite a while for accommodation. Unless you want to pay $150-200 plus per night it might be a good idea to look into it soon

I have two cheap tickets if anyone wants them? I purchased these last year for $298, but holiday plans have intervened, so we cant make it. Emy from PI has said they are definitely transferable.
The conference in Melb last year was amazing, but I'm pretty sure Skydiving all weekend in Cairns will be more fun!
Perhaps not so good for the future plans though… hahahaha

Hi there,
We're heading to the Mega conference. We've booked at Medina Grand Harbourside in a studio room for $713 for the 4 nights.
Any suggestions on best way to find people from this forum among the 2,000 that will be there?

What are the chances you could be a speaker at the next one Nathan? Maybe have a chat with Steve McKnight. I think you could provide a good perspective on some of the opportunities out there that other speakers won’t be covering.

Thanks for the advice Marie,
Been quite busy lately with working 6-7 days a week, and just wanted to get my accommodation here in Ballarat sorted first. One of my flatmates recently moved out to head off to Rockhampton to start a business and invest in properties there, so we needed to renegotiate the lease, pay the bond, refurnish the house, and find a new tenant. It's been quite a stressful and busy month, but it's been a good experience, and the good news is I got to take over the master bedroom with the ensuite!
Anybody had much experience investing in Rockhampton?
In terms of finding accommodation the site I normally use is http://www.lastminute.com.au/ and so far it's never let me down

Not sure, could have a chat with steve at some time to discuss that option.
Not sure how his arrangement works etc, I guess will see more on weekend.

Phew, that made me exhuasted just reading what you have been up too! I usually do things last minute, haha, so I will have to remember that website for the future. I usually look up wotif.com they have some good deals also. Look forward to meeting you Kong, perhaps you could join the secret PI sign and wear reindeer ears with myself and Tracey (kidding).
