    Hello,

    We have been approached by 2 builders with an offer to enter into a joint venture to build 2 properties on our existing PPR.

    The general idea is that we provide the land and they complete the build at their cost – and at the end we take one property each.

    Does anyone have any experience of doing this in Sydney – and can you provide any experiences around:

    – what to look out for in the agreement
    – the best way to transfer the property and the timing of this
    – how to ensure the quality of the build meets our expectations
    – whether there is capital gains or GST involved in the transfer of one of the houses to the builders
    – details of a good JV lawyer in the central Sydney area

    Any insights / advice would be very much appreciated.
