    Hi all,
               I have just had a property settle in QLD.  Although not affected by the floods I am looking to do some renovations to it.  The property is a averged sized 3br DLUG home. I am after a bit of guidance on the following costs:

    Rendering;
    Carpeting to Bedrooms;
    Polishing of Floors to remaing areas;
    Internal External Paint;
    Polyeurothane spray over tiles.

    I am just concerned that with all the building going on in QLD I could get taken to the cleaners and would just like estimates of what it should normally cost.

    Thanks guys

    Hi Fredo,
    There are so many variances in products from your list, so best suggestion is to get 3 quotes for each job- always go for quality over pricing. Is the property investment going to be a rental or a reno then sell?

    And make sure you know the difference in builders clay to lime.

    And paint, buy a pallet of it, you can store it for a while.

    Any suggestions on an economical place to buy Paints or Kitchen parts apart from other than Bunnings in Brisbane. Would appreciate any information. In the process of doing a renovation but extremely tight on the budget. Thanks in advance everyone.
