All Topics / Help Needed! / Pictures – Any copyright issues
Hi All,
I am listing my property, and is using the pictures downloaded from realestate.com.au from the seller, when he listed the last time.
The pictures are taken by a professional photographer, and the pictures show their personal belongings.
Any copyright issues if i will to just use the pictures?
Cheers
NitCommonsense suggests that it would be copyright, but in the interests of accuracy:
At the bottom of the realestate.com.au home page there is a link for "Legal" which takes you here;
http://www.rs.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/rsearch?a=v&t=res&id=13Under the heading "Copyright" it reads:
"The subject matter on and accessible from our Websites and publications is copyright. "There is your answer.

Yes, copyright is held by the photographer (unless they assign it )- whether there is a notice or not. They may not mind however so you can ask if you can use the photos.

Just ask the photographer – they might be happy to oblige. They might also ask for a small fortune
