    G'day,  

    I'm looking at a reno opportunity that currently has a small (1.5m wide) balcony on the top floor of a brick and tile 2 level house.  I'm interested in anyone that has done upper level decking as I would want to replace/extend this balcony considerably.   I assume council permits and the like would be required.  The bottom level is 4.5m so, the supports would have to be significant..!

    Anybody who has done this got any tips (or painful memories :-) to share?
