    Can anyone answer this question from Brisbane?
    I have a 1200m2 LMR land categorized as Character Residential Area because there is a 1916 house there. I am thinking to subdivide it into 2 lots: the old house at the front & a vacant land at the back.

    Now the tricky part: After subdivision, will the rear vacant lot still be categorised as Character Residential Area? I hope it will not be, because my plan is to built 3 units on this 750m2 rear LMR lot.

    Can anyone answer this question?

    Why not ask the town planner at the local council – they should be able to answer your query – for free
