    Hi

I foolishly chose a cheaper price over service in selecting my property manager and have had innumerable problems in my first week – including not a single ad during this time.  Does anyone know whether in WA a 'cooling off' period applies to a contract you sign with a property manager?  Otherwise I am tied to this hopeless lot for two years.

    Thanks

Have a look at the agreement you signed and see what it says. You may just have to give 14 days notice.

I would go into their office straight away and speak to them.  I must admit that I put a clause in my last contract saying that within the first 3 months I could break the contract with 3 days notice.  There have been a couple of small issues – but nothing major – I've resolved them all with them directly and quickly.
