    Hi,

I am looking at an investment property that is currently tenanted. I would appreciate any tips/advice on what to look out for in respect to this. I am inclined to want the existing tenants to stay, so what is involved in this process (new lease agreement?, what about the bond – does this need to be transferred to my account, etc).

    Thanks in advance.

If there was a bond it is in a special trust account that is used to hold the bond. So it needs to be assigned to you as an interested person

The tenant may leave if the property has been sold . They sometimes do that not realising the new owner wants to rent the property.
If the property is rented through a property manager contact the property manager and state what is going on and they will organise all this as part of their service.
