Hi,
Where can I find Auction rules?
I am a newbie and planning to attend some Auctions in Melbourne but not sure how to go about it.
Do I need to register with the Agent before the Auction or can I just go and start bidding?Thanks
Rules (for NSW) are contained within the relevant real estate act – you should be able to get a copy from VCAT
Hi vinaysalia,
You can just rock up and bid but I would suggest u take a walk with the agent through the house first. Just remember to not get too emotional and have a limit on what is your maximum u are willing to pay before the auction and prepare to walk away.

Hi vinaysalia
Have a look at the following link;
Should provide some good information on auctions for you.
Most important thing with auctions… write down your final price on a piece of paper before the bidding starts, and if it exceeds your figure, walk away !
Best of luck.
Matt
The auction rules will also be displayed at the auction for 30 minutes prior to the auction beginning. The auctioneer will announce at the beginning whether or not vendor bids etc are allowed and from whom. If you are stuck, there will be plenty of agents floating around!
If you need a property manager in melbourne let me know good luck!
