All Topics / Legal & Accounting / Rent for the date of settlement
Hi,
I would like to know the rent for the date of settlement is belongs to the seller or buyer. I'd be very grateful to anyone who could help me to confirm this.
Thanks.
Read your contract.eg NSW 2005 contract says vendor entitled to rents and liable for rates up to and incuding the adjsutment date
You should receive rent from the day of settlement, although this could initially be included by way of an adjustment.
