My brother and I recently purchased a plot of land (374m2) in the newly launched Alarah Estate in Cranbourne West (VIC). We are now in the process of finding a suitable builder to help with the design and construction process of a single storey investment property, and have queried as many builders as we can.
Two questions:-
1) There are so many builders out there, and I was wondering if anyone had any fantastic feedback on a particular one. Or conversely, if you have had any bad experience with a particular one, which we should therefore avoid.2) We understand that you get what you pay for, but would like to save cost where possible. Any tips on this? For example, we were wondering if we could source some materials ourselves, but weren't too sure how flexible builders would be for us to do this. Any advice on saving cost would be greatly appreciated.
