Hi I have put in an offer for a property, and after 3 days have still not heard if the offer has been accepted, I spoke to the rea yesterday and told her I needed to know by today (Saturday) as I have another property that I am interested in. as well, IE. have two offers running and see if one or both accept. Or if I should cancel how do I do that, in writing or verbally?
    Any help gratefully received.

PS Can't remember how many agents haven't rung back or even acknowledged  my emails, perhaps they don't need the money!!!

If it was simply a verbal offer, then you should be able to just telephone the agent and tell them that you have withdrawn the offer. if they argue the point remind them that you needed an answer by  today. have you paid any deposit or anything like that or signed any paperwork confirming your offer?

    Hi sonyasal,
This wasn't a verbal offer I signed a form with the offer amount, but seem to remember a piece on the bottom of the form with the vendors name to be signed, I did not receive  this form back. No deposit paid.
I think they are waiting to see if any more offers come in as they have another open on Sunday, but do not want to miss out on another property because I have been waiting.

Simply fax in a retraction of the offer or drop it off to the agency today.

Will do that, am now going to ring and tell her I am retracting the offer, and email her. Thanks for the advice, will make sure I put a time/date in the offer next time.

Do both. I would fax it as then there is a record on the date and time.
