HI i googled townhouse floor plans australia and this was just one of the sites that came up. I don't know anything about the company, but they may be worth a look. As I said there were a number of different links that you could try.

I would take a drive around the neighborhood and look at different townhouses. Take photos of ones that you like so you can present them to your architect when the time comes.

Google is always a good place to start. Searching for things like “townhouse designs” or as sonyasai said “townhouse floor plans”. I am sure you will be able to find some things that will help you.

    Hi,

This is the sort of info you should approach a design company or architect for. They will be able to tell you exactly what can fit on the block. You may find some really great designs or plans and then find that you can't put those on your block due to setbacks, height restrictions or other reasons.

It is worth getting it right first time and not stuffing around or cutting corners. The property will continue to cost money until the nice new townhouses are on it earning money or being sold.

If you look up Brutal Art on the net they are in Melb and Christianb is a regular in this forum. If you are in other states there are a couple of other guys on this forum from NSW and QLD but you may have to search through old posts to find them.

There's no cookie-cutter approach to site design. Each site is different depending on the cadasatral map/site specs/zoning/local council etc. You need to speak to an architect/designer. I can put you in touch with one in Brisbane who is excellent and does this type of thing regularly. PM if you'd like his details.

    Hi nargall,

The project builder we've used a couple of times told us he frequently gets developers faxing them block plans for a preliminary run through of various designs that could work with that block.  They liaise with a large surveyor company that is up to date with the council requirements for various locations.  This is free, they do it on spec in the hope you'll use them. This could be a good option for you too.

    Regards,

    G
