All Topics / Help Needed! / Buyer’s Agents
Hi All,
I am looking for my first IP in Australia in the next couple of months. However, I don't have time on week days to view properties, so perhaps engage a buyer's agent will make it easier to find properties. Does anyone have good recommendation for buyer's agents? My thoughts are to look for properties either in western Sydney or west of Melbourne.
Your help will be very much appreciated!
Cath
I asked the exact same thing recent in another thread and have had not a single reply…..
Hi Cath,
Good luck with your search for the property that's right for you. I have heard good and bad about buyer's agents, and would suggest that regardless of whether you use one or not, don't take short cuts on doing your own research to establish what you want and where you want it. This will ultimately make the job easier.
I sourced several properties for a buyer last year and the process was made much simpler by having a clearly defined brief. This meant I was able to find the right properties in the right locations for the right price.
Hi Cath,
My name is Michael Rehbein.I can suggest two options:
1.Our company is CBD Homes and we specialise in boutique inner city developments within 8 kilometres from Brisbane CBD.
You mention Sydney and Melbourne as potential places to invest.
Whilst we do not understand your motibvations to invest, it may be worthwhile to consider inner city Brisbane.
If you wish to have a background of our work, please visit http://www.cbdhomes.com.au or http://www.marblecbd.com.au2. If this is not of interest to you, I have in the past provided advice to people buying and selling. A fee based service for advice. My fees are paid by my clients. In the instance I provide this advice for service, I do not sell my own/CBD Homes product, nor do I recevieve any commission from the seller. It is independent advice.
Let me know if I can help any further.
Regards, Michael Rehbein

0417 631 088I find that there isn't as much discussion going on this forum. To the OP, you might want to consider posting on Somersoft forums, there's lots of like minded property investors there.
I just purchased 2 IPs, both through buyers agent.
I'm pretty happy with the end result. On one transaction, the BA secured a property for me that was $40k below market value (bought at a bank sale), which makes the $5.5k fee I paid to the BA worthwhile.
On another transaction the BA was able to assist me with a bit of a specialist purchase (house + granny flat) in an area I wasn't familiar with. I think it was money well worth spent.
Also, I'd personally be wary of posters with only 1 post who spruik their product.
