Hello,
My name is Chakyl, and I am a student at the International College of Management in Sydeny, and I am studying Business Administration in Property Services Management. I have just completed one term and am about to start my second term. As I will be finishing in May and as part of my course I am supposed to find a job in the Industry for full-time training that will last 9 months (1200 hours) and possibly continue to work part-time afterwards.
I am interested in working in a Property Development company small to large sized. And would like support from any one for contacts, help and advise they may be willing to offer. I would really appreciate this from anyone.
Thank you very much
Chakyl Camal
Can't say I've heard of the college (though I know it exists). Certificate of registration for real estate usually takes 3 days (intensive). There is no curriculum listed on the ICM website (though they have associations with MCU) and the end result is you will qualify for a real estate licence.
There is an advert which is run often in the Sydney Morning Herald (self-employment opportunities etc) by someone looking for an equity partner asking $35K in return for providing you with 'training', you'd be best advised to steer clear of them/that style of advert.
QUT in brisbane does a property economics post graduate degree that is apparently the 'benchmark' in property development these days.. before looking at any of the seminar spruikers and their ridiculous fees for 'mentoring' i'd be looking at something like that.. probalby cheaper!
Yes. In UTS in Sydney there is a post graduate course on Property Development, i think thats the best you can do for the area. I herd of several developers having taken that couse while having graduated in Bachelor of Commerce.
I got a scholarship for my first year at the College and Im from Mozambique, so im not very familiar on everything around here, ive only been here for 4 months.
