I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with a group called Property Planet. A close friend of mine is
planning to invest with them in Vic and their promises seem to good to be true like – 10 year rental guarantee for
$15 dollars/week , free landscaping , upgrades on kitchens, fittings, conveyancing etc.Thanks in advance

Property Planet are a very unscupulous company who stole our company name that we have trademarked and would not stop using our name. I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. We have approched them to stop using our name but they persist in doing so which really bugs me as I dont want to be associated with this company. I am a real estate agent in NSW that has been operating for 15 years with a very good reputation and this company is really not doing me any favours. Please tell your friend that any deal that sounds to good to be true usually is and in my opinion no one can guarantee a rental income for ten years without there being a catch. I searched Property Planet and was directed here.
I am looking at them myself.
I think its fairly obvious a bit of sour grapes over similar names from last post???
I suggest giving them a call yourself. I checked up on the rental arrangements and it seemed quite normal.
They appear only to focus on government growth areas and prices seem to be very reasonable.
I know from seeking investments in Vic myself these locations are now out of control and growing still.
They don’t have in-house conveyancing though and told me they can recommend one in Melbourne if needed.

Hi all,
Had a quick look, I was directed to their website rather than this post. They seem to deliver only new builds in newly developed areas so they must have an agreement with developers. I don't think a rent guarantee automatically means it is a good location and I would read the fine print as to what exactly they pay when the property is empty. They also target first home buyers which means as an investor buying into an area you are competing with buyers buying on emotion rather than facts and figures.
Better off doing your own homework or at worst using a buyers agent.
BTW I would never ever use a conveyancer or solicitor recommended to me by a vendor.

it seems they are expensive with their land… but because I have land.. seems they are about the same price like others builder..
except they can give me 10 years warranty…
is that true ? have u ever get any experience with this ?
do you know what is the fine print ? when the rent is vacant ?

i have no experience with property planet but as i overview their site , i cant find some problems with it ..looks like it is a good one ..
