    Hi,

    I need help, I brought a house with my partner and now we have split. We were never married and i just want to know how i can change the name from the two into the one name?. As he will keep the house.

    I have printered off some forms off the family court web site, But i'm not sure if they are the rigtht ones,

    Hi Mozzie,

    You can get a consent order if both parties agree. The issue really is wether or not you have to pay stamp duty on the transfer from your name to his. Here in WA there is only a small fee and you have to supply the ATO with the consent order. Your best course of action would be to speak with a Convayencor or Settlement agent. Finance brokers may also be worth speaking to as they deal with refinancing in your situation.
