Where to buy in Sydney

Hi everyone,

My wife and I recently moved to Australia and we are looking at buying an apartment. We have two kids (1 and 2) and we both make around 200K between us a year. We have around $100K in cash savings which we can use as deposit.

I work in North Ryde and she works close to Uni of Sydney and we both drive. 

The budget that we are looking at is 400K and we will go for a short term mortgage – pay off the debt in 4-5 years if everything goes well.

We need a 2-3 bed room apartment in a nice location – preferably a new development.

What areas/suburbs do you guys suggest and if you know any specific developments, that would be great help.
