Read some books on development, but they all assume an architect doing plans and drawings. What if you choose to use a builders plans? What about fitting the plans within the scope of the land (to fit within zoning requirements/etc)? Generally it sounds like the architect does a fair bit more than just design the house itself, so how do you handle the rest of it? Do the builders handle that side of things?
