I'm hoping someone can help
i am required to place mulch (75-100mm) over the roots of protected trees then a timber lattice type arrangement over the top of that. the aim is to not damage the trees roots or compress the soil
Please note this is not over the concrete crossover, but over soil
however it is expected that the normal crossover timbers will just break under the weight of the trucks etc
has anyone had any experience with similar, and can give me an idea how to go about itBec and Troy I haven't had experience in this but this product looks like a possible solution to your problem
Can you use this product instead ?

Thank you for this info
Yes, we are required to do something similar at completion, in lieu of concrete drive.
However, this may be a possibility for the 'during' phase of construction as wellAnyone else has any ideas for during construction if this doesnt work??
Troy
Looks good Richard – I might have to investigate further.
There's absolutely no way that you can avoid some degree of soil compaction regardless of what you install unless you build a bridge over the nature strip etc.

http://www.boddingtons.com.au/PDF/Bodcell-CASE-STUDY-RCTAYLOR.pdfWe have this product on a project at the moment that is on the beach. We needed to get a 100m long track for deliveries and parking and we dug 300mm deep, put this product down and filled it all with sand. It works really well, but is quite expensive.
Tools
thanks Tools, but we need to keep it above ground for protection
I'll keep seeking
How about putting it on the ground and filling it?
