Yes, my wife and I signed contracts with Park Trent over 12 months ago and after many issues we still have nothing to show but hopefully soon we will get a building schedule and work will commence as the land was settled a couple of weeks ago.

    Yes hello

I signed a contract with Park Trent  in April 2013

As yet land has not registered nor building begun.

They wanted my deposit very quick smart though.

I had no contact from the company to keep me updated.

Had to constantly ring to get info and get shuffled around from dept to dept. Finance, project management, rental

Very high pressure sales initially, buy now or you will miss out, buy two etc etc.

They say they guarantee rent, make sure you get that in writing and make sure you understand what this means as it

does not mean they guarantee the full rental amount but is based on a percentage of the purchase price!!!!!!!

My advice would be to get a build start date written into the contract so you have an out if there are any extended delays

I would also suggest that you take the contract to your own lawyer for perusal and advice, as you have a cooling off period.
