Don't know how much this women paid for the land but i just love what she has done to build herself a home. If this young girl was building in these times she would have got a house built for free with the FGOH and boost and some change.

It's a little small but i like it more because of the practical implications… the low costs…. the out of the square thinking this girl did. I like these more then the grand places and the mansions.

Am i going to go play in the mud. No i don't think so but it's good reading about it.

What you Melbournites think something of this nature would rent for?

It still equates to over $800/m2 (the house is only 24 m2).  If you were investing in it, a bank might choke as it is smaller than most studio apartments.

    (I'm a little cynical tonight). ;)

I think the bank would get a shock along with visitors to the house.

It's not as small as the nurses home room i resided in (2.5×4 mtrs) for a couple of months that was then a whole nine Government dollars rent per week.

    hey everyone,

hoping someone can give me some advice. Im trying to add value to my house and i thought i could try and win both ways if i could do a renovatiion and add a bedroom or two. I prob would not have enough space to add to the rear of the house so i was considering building an upstairs bedroom and ensuite or two beds.

Would anyone have any thoughts about:

how much this would cost me?

    would i need permits?

when completed, would this be beneficial to me in terms of growth?

any help would be appreciated as i am just thinking about increasing value on my home. thanks
