Do you necessarily have to specialize in real estate if you want to join a real estate association?

Hi Daniel,It is not necessary to specialize in real estate to join a real estate association. There are many people from various fields who have joined real estate associations and had made a remarkable change in the industry. You just need a good mentor to be a real estate junkie. There is plenty of information available from the REI websites (in each state) which is freely available. You can subscribe to the REI (for free) to access much of this information.

Unless you are a serious user of the information there is probably no need to become a member.

many of the major real estate companies also provide a lot of free research papers eg Colliers, PRD Nationwide, JLL etc.
