    Hi all,

I am new to investing in property, and thinking of building 4 units with a business partner who is a plumber.  I work in an
industry where i can get a good deal on pipe and pcs etc, and we are thinking of doing to pipework and the fitout ourselves.

    My questions are these:

Does anyone have any plans or have built units and found the cheapest way to do them
Are they more profitable than a house
what are the leagal options i need to get
who is the best to get a loan through
also what is the best loan to get, is their one that we dont pay anthing until the units are rented or sold?

i am very new and anyhelp would be great

    regards

    jason

Plumbing & PC items form a very small component of the overall building cost (about 5% installed after margins). Is this big enough to make the project profitable?

Yes there are loans where you can capitalise your interest however in the current economic climate I doubt that banks would be jumping out of their socks to stitch up a deal.
