I am new to investing in property, and thinking of building 4 units with a business partner who is a plumber. I work in an
industry where i can get a good deal on pipe and pcs etc, and we are thinking of doing to pipework and the fitout ourselves.My questions are these:
Does anyone have any plans or have built units and found the cheapest way to do them
Are they more profitable than a house
what are the leagal options i need to get
who is the best to get a loan through
also what is the best loan to get, is their one that we dont pay anthing until the units are rented or sold?i am very new and anyhelp would be great

Plumbing & PC items form a very small component of the overall building cost (about 5% installed after margins). Is this big enough to make the project profitable?
Yes there are loans where you can capitalise your interest however in the current economic climate I doubt that banks would be jumping out of their socks to stitch up a deal.
